"I don’t have any kind of religious principles about whether things should be rhymed, metered or free verse. A poem takes its own form and all of those things are good.”
WS Merwin - - on his book "The Shadow of Sirius"
There comes a time in life when the reality of the world causes one to reconsider all they have ever known. It happens at different times for different people and for some not at all. But when it happens; and the realization that everything you ever believed in seems to be one giant façade; then a life change takes place that simultaneously pulls and pushes us closer to the core of who we really are as individuals. Once the cloak of deceit is cast aside - - only then can we truly know who we really are. For those who never experience such a moment, they are either blessed to know their true selves early on in their lives, or, they live their entire life in ignorance not ever seeing who and what they really are. - - Harry Vann Phillips
