Brides of Poe

The Poe Project Presents

About Brides of Poe

Brides of Poe is an event of The Poe Project celebrating the life, works, and inspiration of Edgar Allan Poe. Dress in wedding attire--yours, someone else's, or you can borrow a dress from us (we have been collecting wedding dresses--see below).

Be one of the Brides in Poe's works, buried alive, dead, murdered with an ax, buried with a cat, be Poe's actual dead bride, or the woman in the poem he wrote for her--there are many choices.

Or, don't be a bride at all, just join us in a tux or simply your street clothes and enjoy the spectacle. We wouldn't turn you away if you dressed as the Mother of the Bride, either.

Pick up free wedding attire from Study Room C at Central Library on October 21st from 1:00-3:30!

Participate in a night-long Bingo game to be entered into a prize drawing at the end!

See map, below, for all the stops.
