Gloria has led UX design teams across startups, big tech, and government. Over the past decade, she’s bounced between the Bay Area, New York, and Singapore, searching for belonging and purpose. She currently leads a design team in MOE, building tools that free educators to focus on students, while also growing Kindling Commons, exploring what it takes to build human-centred, AI-native learning from first principles.
Reflection and/or metacognition is often seen as something heavy or boring, yet a critical part in building a strong sense of agency and voice. Over the past few months, I've run reflective play dates for kids, explored building tech tools to help build such a muscle, and will share lessons learned on what worked and what didn't.
