Aminah is a Forest School practitioner and lifelong learner who finds delight in walking alongside children as they build connections to the world around them. She believes that nature, play and unhurried time offer powerful opportunities for growth. Through her work in Hundred Paths, she hopes to create spaces where children and their families can slow down, feel a sense of belonging and connect more deeply with themselves and the natural world.
Children are born with an innate ability to play, wander and wonder. At what point in childhood does that begin to fade? Why does play seem to disappear when they need it most? In this sharing, Aminah shares personal stories and observations from her years of working alongside children and witnessing the richness of their play. She is also inviting us to rethink a common assumption: that play is something children outgrow. What if tweens and teens need play just as much, if not more?
