Play Doesn’t Grow Up:
Living It, Connecting Through It, Learning From It at Every Age
Play is often talked about as something children do and adults provide. My sharing reframes it as 3 things that don’t disappear with age - they just change shape.
Play as lifestyle - a way of moving through the world rather than an activity slotted into a schedule
Play as connection - the thing that builds relationship between siblings, between parent and child, between adults who’ve forgotten how to do it together
Play as learning - not the sneaky “disguised as fun” kind, but real cognitive and emotional growth that happens because it’s play, not despite it
