So you’re here at the Play Assembly. And you’ve talked to everybody here. And everyone is aligned with you - we all want play to show up more in our lives. But then you have to go back to your lives and your jobs, where nobody wants play to show up more in their lives. What do you do? Should you just give up? Should you just return to your old ways? Do what everyone else is doing?
Join me as we learn how to start a play revolution in your own community, wherever that may be. I will be sharing a little bit about Tiny Mountains and how we revolutionized preschool multisports education in Singapore. Then I will be sharing about how some of these principles applied to the genesis of the Play Collective. Finally I will be walking through some practical steps to help you apply these principles to your current situation to see how you can also start a play revolution in your own community.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Clearly and confidently say why play matters, to somebody who asks them “So, what did you learn about at The Play Assembly?”
Identify 3 key areas in their life which they can independently inject more play.
Identify 3 ways in which they can weave play principles and practices into their communities.
State one person in their community who is the closest to being onboard with this play revolution.
