In this hands-on workshop, Chief Sidekick Mudd shares practical ideas shaped by his work at Let’s Learn Outside, showing how everyday spaces, simple objects and learning goals can become exciting stories, missions and adventures.
It is Time for Play. But where do we begin? Start with what is already around you.
A bench can become a bridge.
A line on the floor can become a dangerous crossing.
A simple task can become an important mission.
In this playful 75-minute workshop, participants will try out a few simple activities, unpack how everyday spaces and objects can be given a playful twist, and explore how these ideas could work in their own setting.
Together, we will explore how to:
Spot play possibilities in everyday spaces
Add a story that sparks imagination
Turn a learning goal into a playful mission
Use simple objects in unexpected ways
Participants will leave with practical ideas for creating more playful learning experiences using the spaces and resources already available to them.
