Dave has been tuning pianos part-time since 1977. He uses a method developed by composer (Spoon River Anthology), performer and tuner, Lucas Mason, based on the studies of musicologist Mieczyslaw Kolinski. The details are pretty technical, but it works beautifully. He can do most minor repairs, but for major surgery he would need a workshop, which he doesn't have. He also is known to work on harpsichords, reed organs as well as the occasional zither.

The picture, to the left, is an old one - but my favorite. My logos are a team effort: My wife, Renny, came up with the name. My daughter Ilona (with the flute) said she had an idea for a logo. "Something like this," she said and sketched out the fish with the funny scales. I said, "Something like? - That's It!" Then little sister, Corinne, said that it wasn't a proper tuna and drew the "anatomically correct" tuna. It was left to our son, Dash, the mechanical expert, to draw the piano - so the whole family got in on the act!
