The phase contrast blood assessment and brightfield live and dry blood analysis are used as a screening test to monitor metabolic dysfunction, thereby taking the guess work out of diet determination and selection of appropriate supplementation regime.
The tests are carried out by extracting a minute amount of capillary blood from the finger tip and placing on the microscope slide and then observing the blood through two different optical modalities using a high powered microscope.
The technique allows the microscopist as well as the client to observe and analyze the features of the blood terrain via computer monitor.
