The B.H. (Balubhai Harjibhai) Patel Education Trust is a non-profit organization, established in 1984, serving as a school for underprivileged girls' in an area of Gujarat (state in India) called Gondal. The school provides room, board, meals, extracurriculars, and an education to over 500+ girls.
The B.H. Patel Education Trust was the very first school P.E.A.R. got involved with. After the founder, Riva, learned about the school through mutual connections, she wanted a way to get involved. The efforts the school board were putting in were incredible, but there was a clear hole in career readiness according to global standards in the curriculum. So, in 2018, she started a small extracurricular English communications class with a group of about 10 girls in efforts to bridge the language gap and foster a positive community between herself and the students.
Besides education, the school is committed to an all-rounded education, ensuring the girls are heavily involved in extracurriculars such as dance, yoga, singing, language learning, seva, performances, competitions, and more.
