The short version: your documents never leave your iPhone. Every conversion, scan, signature and OCR operation happens 100% on your device. We run no servers, we have no accounts, and we cannot see your files — ever. The only data that exists outside your device relates to your App Store purchase, described below.
1. YOUR DOCUMENTS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE
All processing in PDF Converter — converting photos, Word, Excel and text files to PDF, scanning, signing, merging, splitting, compressing, password-protecting, and extracting text (OCR) — is performed locally on your iPhone using Apple's built-in frameworks. Your documents, photos, scans and signatures are:
• never uploaded to us or any third party;
• never used for training, analytics, or advertising;
• stored only on your device (in the app's Documents folder, visible in the Files app), fully under your control. Deleting a file, or the app, removes it.
2. WEB TO PDF
When you use Web to PDF, your device fetches the webpage you request directly from that website — exactly as a browser would. The request does not pass through any server of ours, and we do not see or log the addresses you convert.
3. WHAT IS COLLECTED (PURCHASES ONLY)
If you subscribe, your payment is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple ID.
To manage subscriptions and understand aggregate sales, we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives: a randomly generated anonymous identifier (not linked to your identity), your purchase and subscription status, and basic device information (device model, OS version, locale). This data is used solely to validate purchases and produce aggregate revenue statistics. It is never sold and never used to track you across other apps or websites. 4. WHAT WE DON'T DO
• No advertising, and no ad networks or trackers in the app.
• No selling or sharing of data with data brokers.
• No accounts, emails, or personal profiles.
• No tracking across apps or websites (we do not use the advertising identifier).
5. PERMISSIONS
The app asks permission for the camera (only to scan documents) and to add images to your photo library (only when you export PDF pages as photos). Both are used exclusively for the feature you invoked, at the moment you invoke it.
6. DATA RETENTION & DELETION
Your files live only on your device — delete them anytime in the app or the Files app. To request deletion of the anonymous purchase record held by RevenueCat, contact us at the email below and we will process it within 30 days.
7. CHILDREN
PDF Converter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
8. CHANGES
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
