When Halach Uinic woke up from his dream, he knew what he had to do. He ran and knocked on the wooden door of the village healer that he suspected was a witch. He pleaded for her help to design something he knew the goddess put into his head. Together with the witch, he spent days and nights trying to recreate the vision he had of a mythical device that was used to write love letters. It wasn't until 2 weeks had passed, that he was able to create a pen that didn't run out of ink. The which had bewitched the pen so the ink, would never run out. Halach began writing to Ixchel again. Ixchel was so pleased that he was able to create such a beautiful tool, that she came down. The sky was dark without the illuminating light of the moon. Ixchel suddenly appeared in-front of Halach. He could recognize her presence immediately. They ran to embrace. Ixchel reciprocated her love for him and recited every letter he had written to her. So enamored with his touching words, she wanted everyone to have the ability to write with the tool that helped them fall in love.
Halach and Ixchel married soon after and began helping the tribe, create their own pens with the recourses she provided them. Pens were created and were passed from leader to leader. Every man wrote love letters to the women they wanted to marry. Woman would collect the letters their lovers would send them and think back to the love Halach and Ixchel shared that allowed them to write meaningful words to the person they love.
