The Star Who Gave Her Light
The Star Who Gave Her Light
Before humans measured time, there lived a star named Ophelia who admired the fleeting beauty of mortal life. From her place among the constellations, she saw lovers grow old together and seasons fade and return. She longed to feel and experience those precious moments on Earth's ground. So she descended from the sky under a full moon into a forest, her light softening into a woman with silver hair.
Beside her followed Evangeline, a loyal wolf born from her heartbeat. Together, they roamed the forest, leaving trails of glowing stones.
At the forest's heart was a pond formed from Ophelia's starlight, its surface reflecting the sky that once held her. Those who drank from it glowed with borrowed youth, their veins threaded with her light. She offered it freely, never realizing that each gift left her dimmer than before.
