The Meeting Place is a little church community that has been gathering at 541 Eatery & Exchange ever since it first opened in 2014. Anyone is welcome to join us for church or prayer, no matter where you are on your journey.

We gather inside the main coffee house space at 541 Barton St. E. Our Church gatherings are a cozy time of worship, prayer and learning.
Church for The Meeting Place is very conversational. We welcome interruptions, with lots of room for back and forth questions and ponderings. We try not to make assumptions about what we all know or don’t know, and seek to meet people where they are at. Some weeks we leave all our plans behind because someone is asking a question about God that seems more relevant than our own plans and agenda.
After church, the conversations continue over a light supper (generously provided by 541 Eatery & Exchange).
*Please Note: we don't meet on long weekends (to give our volunteers a rest)

Join Pastor Randy in the back community room of 541 Barton St. E. on Thursdays at 10am for prayer. We take time to pray for each other, the neighbourhood and the ministry of 541. You are welcome to stay for for the whole hour or just pop in for a few minutes to share a prayer request.
Cafe Drop In: You are also welcome to come say hi to Randy any Thursday morning. He hangs out at the big harvest table in the 541 cafe for an hour before and after prayer (9am-10am and 11am-Noon)

Do you remember when the GOHOP prayer room was located in the basement of 541 Eatery & Exchange? Staff at 541 often shared that they could sense when people had been praying. There was a tangible difference in the atmosphere. You could feel it. A deeper sense of peace, of hope, and welcome.
Join us on Monday, November 9th, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30pm at 541 Eatery & Exchange (541 Barton St. E.) for an evening of prayer, worship, and discernment.

While we no longer have a dedicated prayer room in the building, our prayers for 541 continue. Together we will:
Dream about what prayer and spiritual support at 541 could look like in the future.
Experience some of the prayer and worship expressions that take place weekly through The Meeting Place Church.
Pray for the staff, volunteers, guests, and mission of 541.
We believe prayer matters. As we gather in person, we ask God to fill this space with His peace, wisdom, and love, trusting that prayer can shape the atmosphere of a place and the lives of those who enter it.
