Srimanta Manna received his MSc from IIT Bombay (India) in 2012, and his PhD from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Dortmund (Germany) in 2017. His doctoral studies were carried out in the group of Prof. Andrey P. Antonchick and focused on hypervalent iodine mediated C–H amination and copper-catalyzed oxidative cyclopropanation. In 2017, he joined the David Procter group as an EPSRC postdoctoral fellow at the University of Manchester (UK) and was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship in 2018. In the Procter group, he focused on the development of copper-catalysed asymmetric multicomponent coupling reactions. In 2020, he moved to Stockholm University (Sweden) to work in the group of Prof. Jan-Erling Bäckvall focusing on iron-catalysed biomimetic oxidation. In 2022 December, he moved the Prof. Matthew Gaunt group to work RNA bioconjugation chemistry and nucleoside modification.
