Mr. Tower

This month we interviewed Jonathan Tower! He owns  Saddleback, a ski/ride mountain in Rangeley, Mane. He lives in Weston, a neighboring town to Wellesley. These are the questions that we asked him.

1. What was your favorite school memory? "Meeting my wife in college. we started dating senior year!"

2. What made you decide to buy Saddleback? "There are two reasons; I run an impact fund. An impact fund is a fund that finds a town that had a company that hired most of the people living in the town. When Saddleback went out of business, the town lost their major employer. I decided to buy the mountain to give more jobs to the community. My second reason is I love skiing!"

3. What are your hobbies? "I like skiing, doing things with my kids, and fly fishing."

4. What are your dislikes? "being stuck traveling (e.g. delayed flights), and long conference calls. 

5. What are your fears? "living my life without doing anything important."

6. What is your biggest accomplishment? " building a company that improved the lives of people that are financially struggling."

7. SPECIAL QUESTION: What is your favorite trail? " I like casablanca woods."
