Mustangs 1.0

FTC Team 10354

It’s way more than building robots. FIRST Tech Challenge teams (10+ members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have!”

Guided by adult Coaches and Mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles (like keeping an engineering notebook) while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and sharing ideas. The robot kit is reusable from year to year and can be programmed using a variety of languages, including Java. Teams also must raise funds, design and market their team brand, and do community outreach for which they can win awards. Participants have access to tens of millions of dollars in college scholarships. Each season concludes with Super-Regional Championships and an exciting FIRST Championship.

Of course we were not able to do it without the help of our sponsors. We are very thankful for everything that they have done and hope to work with them for many years to come!

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to empower our community with the ability to participate in FIRST Programs while also enjoying robotics and the STEM field.

We strive to make FIRST accessible, not only, to the community, but also as far as we can reach

Mustangs 1.0 is an 8-year FTC team located in Sugarland Texas in HSI-SL. The team members have been in FIRST for over 8 years and have opened new teams to not only sustain FTC in the school but inspire others to pursue and excel in this game of FTC and the concept of FIRST.

This team is a group of close friends that started elementary school together and have since become heavily invested in robotics.

We treat robotics as if it is a lifestyle and a hobby in which we can help others to be inspired, moving the community forward when it comes to innovation in the STEM field.
