Donate by Mobile

We don't actually mean for your to donate your old phone to charity but rather to use it to send money.

Having discovered that some of our mobile phone 'Pay as You Go' credit was about to expire since we hadn't used it up within the allotted 12 months. Unable to have the cash back, and unlikely to use it up before the expiry date, a quick online search revealed a listing where you can easily donate money by text message. Any phone contract will allow you to donate in this way and it's a quick and easy way to support many worthy causes either spontaneously or to schedule regular donations. Donation amounts are small but they get a large percentage of it.

If you have a few euro to donate then there are over 200 worthy groups listed and we recognise a few serving the Navan Neighbourhood.

The website presents with you with a code to send by text message to donate a few euro of your credit to your chosen charity.
