How often do you get flyers asking for old clothes? Don't be tempted to donate unless you're certain what will happen to the clothes and that they will benefit the charity.
This particular flyer has been all over Ireland for a number of years and has appeared here twice in September. However it's unregistered, unlicensed and therefore illegal. Whether or not they display a registration licence a quick check of the official register http://www.nwcpo.ie/ will confirm if you will be helping a charity and that any rejected clothing won't be illegally dumped.

As winter approaches and we prepare for colder weather we're likely to put away our summer wardrobe or throw out unwanted items. DON'T put any in the general waste bin since they could have a second life and we highlight some options.

If the clothes are fit for sale especially 'designer' or specialist types then sell them online but offering clothing in the right season is more profitable especially clothing bought for religious events such as Holy Communion and Confirmations.

Spread around the neighbourhood they raise funds for the charities named on the front BUT CHECK if the clothing goes directly to them for processing or if they receive a fee in exchange for using their name.
