The Innovative School Counselor...

As long as I can recall, I would say that I have always had an innovative streak. I've always looked at the average item and seen it for its potential. That’s not an easy skill to possess as many people see things for what they are in their natural state. Honestly, to me that's absolutely boring. I can't even imagine seeing the world in that manner...

Thus, I started this blog as a platform to showcase the integration of my ideas which include the world of STEM, STEAM, or STREAM into my comprehensive Elementary School Counseling program. As an elementary school counselor, my day is filled with social-emotional, academic and college-career readiness delivered via classroom Core Curriculum Lesson, Small Group Counseling, Individual Counseling, Crisis Responsive Services, School-Wide Assemblies and the list goes on... In the middle of all these services, there's an Innovative Elementary School Counselor who enjoys every opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child, a teacher, a parent, administrators, a school or two, and a community or two.
