Men's rights advocacy for societal acceptance
Men's rights have long been an undiscussed and ignored element of our society at large. From the smallest everyday situations of dropping off their children at school to greater social pushback against male expression of emotion and mental well being, men have faced a monumental lack of understanding and support to ever increasing measure. Through norms instilled since childhood and reinforced in adulthood, men have long held pain and anguish behind masks of solemnness. This movement is by no means a attack on women's rights, nor does it intend to infringe upon them. In fact, while serving principally as a force for men, the WorkThrough Project seeks to advance help to all people who have need of what aid it provides. After all, movements, in the social sense, are chiefly meant to bring up one group in relation to another, so that both sides may face a just and equal environment as opposed to tearing each other down. As it stands, the time has come for men to assert a need and want for help, and to let such be known without stigma, rejection, or the fear of denigration for the simple purpose of seeking to become whole once more.
