I'm Saheel Siyam, I'm 17 years old and I go to SATEC @W.A Porter C.I in Grade 11.
I'm really interested in various art forms like monochrome sketches, 3D design, and app development. I also like to play the guitar and have released 10 compositions and two albums on YouTube.
I also like app development, I just got into it over the pandemic lockdowns, and I have currently released one android app on Google Play.
The lockdown period ensured that I had more time to create different art pieces.
I am in the process of creating various different projects in various sectors, and here they are below
Currently in Hiatus. May resume next summer
An organization that I am a founding member of. I am the company president and current Technology and Site Design Team leader.
Our organization is dedicated to combatting isolation and loneliness that seniors have, by focusing on three main pillars: Education, Technology, and Community Building.
Education: We introduce fun topics that seniors can learn about, namely new hobbies, as well as information about needed topics such as health and wellness, digital environment, media literacy, and more.
Technology: Helping seniors get adjusted to the digital world.
Community Building: Virtual (currently) and in person (post pandemic planned) events at seniors homes and select venues which help seniors feel less isolated, such as game nights and workshops.
Organization tentative launch date: February 7, 2022.

What made you start this?
"if it doesn't already exist, build it yourself. That's my motto.
I was thinking, wouldn't it be nice if a site system existed? To help high schoolers succeed in life? But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that, hey, such a thing a. doesn't already exist, and b. so many people are in desperate need of such a tool. So then I thought, why not I build something like this? I wanted this to be a place where teenagers all around the globe, can safely prepare for the real world, with everything they could possibly need, without getting hurt by the real world, or being unprepared. This is a place they can develop a better future. This place is a gift to the next generation of youth, so they don't have to go through what my generation did. "
Any difficulties you faced?
"Very many difficulties. So many. There were times, I swear I just wanted to give up, it was so darn difficult. The layout, the content, the sheer magnitude of the project., it was insane. Five or six sites, with literally hundreds of subpages, it was ridiculous."
Any tips for students who want to make a change?
" You might think that change is hard to make. Its like "oh, how do I change the world, I'm just a kid, right?" Wrong. Yes, you're young, but that doesn't mean that you cant make change, On the contrary, it makes you more able to make change. Choose a problem, a basic problem that you see in your life. And then think, hmm, what can I do to solve
"Learn from your past, and change your present, to design your future: that's my motto when it comes to things like that."
Thank you to all allies of HelpWeb! All donators, sponsors, etc, your efforts are much appreciated! Thank you!
This couldn't have been possible without the assistance of Seace, a former JA Company, as well as all the amazing advisors at JA.
Project CLICK was a valuable ally, and the other co-founder, Sophia Galoushcak gave us invaluable help.
And we can't forget Ram Dib, and his interesting podcast, which made us think deeply about key topics
