Folkloric Dance

The Expressive Arts Folkloric Dance for Youth Healing program empowers youth ages 5-17 in foster, adoptive, and kinship care through traditional dance. The program promotes self expression, emotion regulation through dance, community connection, healing and cultural pride while preparing participants to perform at community events throughout Rhode Island. With a focus on the mental health benefits of movement for children this dance group goes beyond typical dance classes to support the many needs of the children we serve.
