The Hazlitt Review

Contributions

We invite essays of 4,000 to 9,000 words in length on any aspect of William Hazlitt's work and life; articles relating Hazlitt to other authors, or broader Romantic topics, contexts, and circles, are also expressly welcome, as are reviews of relevant books, exhibitions, or events.

Contributions should follow MHRA citation style and should be sent by email to hazlittsociety@gmail.com. 

Submissions will be considered and peer-reviewed year-round, but must be received by 1st February to be considered for publication in the same year's Hazlitt Review.  

Contributors who require their articles to be Open Access (under UKRI policy policy or similar) should indicate this, and they will be made fully and freely available on this website after publication. 

Because The Hazlitt Review is published directly by the Hazlitt Society and not by a third-party journal publisher, authors retain all rights to their work for OA or any other purposes.

We regret that we cannot publish material already published or submitted elsewhere.
