The Happiness Hub Derby is looking for a Volunteer Social Media Coordinator to help us share positive, supportive content across our platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, has an interest in social media, and wants to make a meaningful difference in their community.
As our Social Media Coordinator, you will help create and share engaging content for Facebook and Instagram, supporting our wellbeing programmes and community initiatives.
Time commitment:
Approximately 3 hours per week (flexible and remote)
Create and upload content for Facebook and Instagram
Design posts using Canva (training provided)
Produce a mix of posts, reels, and short videos
Work with monthly wellbeing themes and campaigns
Support daily posting across our social media platforms
A creative individual with an interest in social media
Someone passionate about community and mental health wellbeing
Confidence to work independently and use your own initiative
Basic digital skills and a willingness to learn
Own laptop essential
Previous experience is helpful but not essential — full guidance and support will be provided.
Practical experience in social media coordination
Training in Canva and content creation

The Happiness Hub Derby is looking for a Volunteer Co-Facilitator to support our free Mindfulness for Beginners courses.
This role is ideal for someone who is kind, grounded, and passionate about supporting others in a gentle, non-judgmental way. You don’t need to be an expert — just someone who cares and wants to help create calm, welcoming spaces.
As a Co-Facilitator, you will support the lead facilitator during our mindfulness sessions, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for participants.
Time commitment:
Approximately 2–3 hours per week (during course delivery)
Support the delivery of our Mindfulness for Beginners sessions
Welcome participants and help them feel at ease
Assist with group activities such as mindfulness practices, gentle discussions, and creative exercises
Help set up and tidy the space before and after sessions
Offer quiet, compassionate support to participants if needed
A warm, reliable, and approachable person
An interest in mindfulness, wellbeing, or mental health
Good listening skills and a calm presence
Confidence to support groups in a gentle, respectful way
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
You do not need formal mindfulness training — support, guidance, and training will be provided.
Experience supporting wellbeing and mindfulness groups
Training and mentoring from experienced facilitators
Increased confidence and communication skills
