If alcohol will be served at your event, Host Liquor Liability Insurance is required.
What Is Host Liquor Liability Insurance?
Host Liquor Liability Insurance provides coverage for the event host if a guest causes injury, property damage, or other loss related to alcohol consumption at your event. This includes situations such as bodily injury or property damage caused by an intoxicated guest.
This type of insurance is designed for non-commercial alcohol service, meaning:
Alcohol is provided free of charge
The host is not selling alcohol for profit
No professional bartending service is operating under its own liquor license (unless otherwise approved)
Who Needs It?
You must obtain Host Liquor Liability Insurance if:
Alcohol of any kind (beer, wine, or spirits) will be served
Alcohol is provided by the renter or guests
Alcohol is included as part of the event (open bar, champagne toast, etc.)

Host Liquor Liability Insurance typically covers:

Insurance Requirements
The policy must include a $1,000,000 (1 Millions) Host Liquor Liability coverage
ROXBURY VOLUNTEER FIREMEN’S ASSOCIATION COMPANY #1 must be listed as an Additional Insured
Proof of insurance (Certificate of Insurance) must be submitted 1 week prior to the event date
Coverage must be valid for the full duration of the event, including setup and teardown
Failure to provide acceptable proof of insurance may result in alcohol not being permitted at the event.
