Shelby Township

The fall 2000 opening of the Shelby Township location marked The Great Indoors's entry into the Detroit market. The store was reportedly converted to a Sears Outlet in 2003, and Sears Outlet closed in the mid-2000s. Garden Ridge opened its first Michigan store in the space in October 2007, before moving to nearby Utica in late 2010. This former TGI then sat vacant until 2019, when Floor & Decor opened its first Michigan store in the space. It housed a Spirit Halloween in the fall of 2018, and possibly during other Halloween seasons.
