How to tell a former Great Indoors

Former Great Indoors stores can easily be told by their door layout. They usually have a set (usually five pairs) of manual doors for the main entrance, and two sets of sliding doors off to the side. Most also featured display windows next to the swinging doors. TGI stores also had a pair of sliding doors for merchandise pickup, usually on the side or in the rear.

Many former TGI stores have had their doors modified by their new tenants. TGIs turned Walmarts are examples of this, their swinging doors were converted to sliding doors.
