Growing up with a very spiritual mother was very tough and seeing how much she suffered for many years, made me question the God that she sacrificed everything for. I thought that being close to God meant continual suffering, so whenever my mom would tell me to trust in God for anything, I did not want to because of the way her life was always sad. But thankfully, my time to surrender to the Lord came and by His grace, I gave my life to Him.

And could you imagine, if you could only see the simplicity of God’s eternal purpose, and of the sovereignty of His grace. Could you imagine Him using that great power to put a curse on a tree because it didn’t have any fruit on it, and leaving thousands lay unhealed? The tree is part of God’s creation as same as man is part of God’s creation. But to show that He is concerned about trees, about insects…If He’s concerned about those, how much more is He concerned about you?
16 But could you imagine (quickly now), that the great power that was in the Son of God…And when He met the devil, He never used it. He just took the Father’s Word to show how simple it was. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth from the mouth of God,” just to show the power of that Word. He also said, “Destroy this body, it’ll be raised up again in three days.” What was it? He was eating that Word that made the promise. There’s no way for the grave to hold Him. That’s right.
