Each of the three sectors includes many of the trains in service during the sectorisation era, examples include the locomotives of Intercity West Coast and East Coast, the Advanced Passenger Train, the last of the NSE slam door stock, the then brand new Kent Link Networker train, a few examples of the 1972 based EMU working in both London and further afield and the Class 323 of the Birmingham area as well as many more across the digital exhibition.
All of the trains featured have been returned to their former, now heritage, liveries. Including the distinct Blues and Greys of the outgoing British Rail, the modern and sleek Silvers and Reds of Intercity, the vibrant Reds and Blues of Network SouthEast as well as the variety of different Regional Railways liveries. This is accurate to each page, researched with help from those involved with the preservation, or continued use, of each class of train. More than just the wide assortment of heritage liveries are featured, with many photographs used to highlight as much of the interesting and varied history of each of the classes featured as possible.
