Registration and Lodging

We are delighted to welcome you to the thirty-seventh annual conference of the International Society for the Study of Medievalism, co-sponsored by Montclair State and Seton Hall Universities, located in northern New Jersey.

We have planned an exciting component of in-person activities from the afternoon of July 9 until the evening of July 11 as well as virtual connections to the daily sessions and keynote on July 10 and 11. In-person registration fees cover breakfasts, receptions, and at least one lunch. An optional trip to Medieval Times will be arranged with sufficient interest. All fees support the costs of technology, keynote speeches, and materials.

You will find below a registration button (there are options for both in person and virtual participation). Please register by May 1 to have your name included in the program. The form will ask in-person participants a number of questions including information related to dietary needs, accessibility, housing preference, parking needs, and interest in the optional Medieval Times trip. 

Housing Options (accessible via public transit and ride share)

1) Modern apartment-style residence hall in a complex with a pool ($57/person per night). Reserve below.

The "Village" complex is located directly across from the Montclair State University train station with direct NJ Transit service to New York Penn Station (Boonton Line) and/or Newark Broad Street Station. If you are uncertain about housing options at this juncture, you may register for residence hall housing later (though it is first come, first served and may not be available as the conference dates approach). Please note that companions/partners may stay with you in the residential hall ($57/person per night). To reserve, please fill out the form a second time with the second person's name and contact details. We must communicate each individual’s information to Residential Life for them to issue key cards.

2) MC Hotel in Montclair (3 miles from campus; 8 min Uber ride). With sufficient interest, we will be able to block a limited number of discounted rooms in this luxury hotel. Please indicate your interest on the form and we will follow up with booking instructions.

• In-person student (includes breakfasts, receptions, and a lunch): $75

• Zoom participation: $50

• Zoom student participation: $35
