#5. Flower goes Apeshit - (BFDI, various episodes)

There are often very common attributes to a character on BFDI that make them instantly recognizable.

Blind Idiot

Mentally Unstable

Puts the milk in before the cereal

Loves to backstab others

Loves executions

Wannabe Psychopath

Fatass

Is not Progressive

And then finally you reach the contestant of Flower. Who most people will associate her to be the very mean girl. The contestant who likes to push people out of the way, the most selfish and evil contestant the show has ever had. Or in more modern seasons, she is seen as the character with an extremley forced redemption arc.

Thankfully for this series of articles, I am only covering BFDI and BFDIA. So we won't have to deal with the time the editors completley murdered certain contestants to serve Flower's story arc.

Nah, the Flower I'm talking about is the real original Flower from season one. She goes by a lot of associations, mostly centering around her beauty, or her extreme ego. But I prefer to think of her as something different. I remember Flower as the contestant who had the capacity to go completley and utterly insane at a moment's notice.

Well, first off. She has that phenomenal resting bitch face.

This isn't quite a RBF, but more like a RBB (Resting Bitch Body)

And a furious bitch face too

We all remember the big moments.

Like the time she references Naturo

Or the time she sent death threats to everyone.

Was not hired by a marketing team

And that amazing scream.

Is a fan of personal space

Charging in for the kill

And don't forget all her weird and whacky reactions to everything.

This might be a step too far

She also has a weird obsession with pushing Firey.

She was certainly a very intense character.

Special reminder she climbed onto a person and made this face

I meant to say she was also the most calm contestant ever.

Taking a leisurely stroll down the cliff

Providing an insightful critique to Coiny's cake

Gracefully testing the lava to see if it's too cold

Flawless Ice Cube impression

It's genuinely entertaining to see how quickly her emotions can flip flop from one scene to another. Sometimes in the very same scene she'll have a sudden change of heart and decide to go back on her word. Even after she said irreparable things.

"I hate you Bubble, you useless piece of trash!"

"Your apology is valid, I will stop bothing you"

How did this happen?

Well...

I've got no answer for you. I think she just is like that.

She's basically got an internal switch, and you better hope she's on the right side when you talk to her.

The fact that she somehow was on the spectrum of batshit crazy to spacey airhead in the matter of seconds will always be my favourite thing about her.

We owe it to Flower for making BFDI so much more interesting.
