New Single Out Now!
The video for Wild Woman was filmed and edited over a weekend in September 2018 at Knoleton Circles, A magical site of Henges and Earthworks in Dorset, England.
Lyrically set on summer solstice within a stone circle, celebrating the natural world, the song is about a woman rediscovering her innate wildness. It is about femininity and freedom.
Musically it is a warm, uplifting track with the natural sounds of double bass, percussion, acoustic guitar, and lead ukulele. Folk based songwriting with a dub reggae feel.

Hailing from Bournemouth on the South Coast The Fox and The Owl are a 4 piece band whose sound is defined by the vocal harmonies of Lucy and Lauren, with backing provided by James and Rich. Whilst loosely defined as Folk, our music is influenced by Reggae, Blues and Bluegrass.
With sets that span across original songs and covers we like to tailor our sets to the occasion, and that occasion could be a sunny afternoon in a festival field, a vibrant pub or an afternoon at a wedding or special occasion.
Most importantly though, we play because we like it. We hope you like it too.....
Lucy is studying for her Masters in Songwriting and you can usually find her scribbling down ideas or recording in her makeshift wardrobe studio. Endlessly curious, she loves travel, and maps and new experiences. She is never lost and is known as our solar powered sat nav.
Lauren loves to commune with nature. In her spare time she grows food, talks to cats and sit in fields. She feels at home in the winter but loves the summer sun, although even then she is never without a blanket…
Rich spent many years promoting bands before ever being in one. He loves to be outdoors camping and doesn’t start any day without 20 mins of yoga. If he doesn’t do this he says that his knees ache for the rest of the day.
Our newest member, James plays percussion and sometimes bass. He's an outdoors type, loving a bit of camping, kayaking and communing with nature.
