This puzzle hunt will run from June 6, 10:00 AM to June 14, 10:00 PM, Central Time.
Teams may range from 1-8 people, but a team size of 2-3 is recommended for experienced puzzlers and a team size of 3-5, maybe 6 is recommended for new players.
You may not be a part of multiple teams.
To unlock more puzzles, meta puzzles must be solved.
Every answer is an English word or phrase.
To submit an answer, fill out the google form for that puzzle. The google forms are found on the main "Puzzles" tab. To check if your answer is right, press the "View Accuracy" button on that form.
There is no limit to the amount of guesses you may try per puzzle. However, brute force guessing is strongly discouraged. Isn't it more fun to solve the puzzle anyways?
If you get a Meta correct, you can access the next round of puzzles by going to the appropriate URL of the next Google site. For example, if the answer to the first Meta was "RED HERRING", you would go to "https://sites.google.com/view/thefinalfrontierredherring/"; essentially just replacing the words "puzzlehunt" with whatever the meta answer is.
After much deliberation, I have decided that there will be no limits on hints. There is no penalty for hints. To get a hint, email me at ha.david.125@gmail.com. In the email, include your team name, the puzzle you're stuck on, and the progress you've made so far. I don't want to give you information that you've already figured out! I'll try to be as helpful as possible without giving away the whole puzzle.
Any resources you can find online are fair game, and many puzzles require the use of looking things up on the Internet. The only thing that's off-limits is working with other teams.
Email me at ha.david.125@gmail.com with any concerns.
I will try to respond to emails from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM Central Time. However, if it's late, you may have to wait until the next morning. I am just one person and things do come up occasionally.
