Backup Tutorial

Follow this tutorial to ensure you are backing up your data for The Fast Tracker.

Device Settings

1. Ensure your device is backed up through your Google account. This can be found in settings -> Accounts -> Backups. (Devices and system versions will vary location of this setting). If you are enabling backups now, you can select "Backup now" to immediately backup your device. The backups occur regularly at night when your device is charging and on Wifi (depending on your phone's settings).

Device Settings

2. You can view the list of apps included in your backup by tapping on "App data" from the first screen. Ensure you have automatic restore selected.

Google Drive Backups

3. Once you have your device backed up, the app will automatically backup your data through your Google account into your Google Drive. You can view the list of apps that are backed up in your Google Drive from within your Google Drive app. Your device automatically backs up at night when you are charging your device. If you don't see The Fast Tracker listed, you can select "Backup now" in your phone's settings (see step 1).

Photo Library

4. All media (photos and videos) are saved into a folder on your device. This folder will show up automatically in your photos or any other media app you are using. Make sure that your folder is backed up onto your Google account. In the photos app, you should see a cloud icon when viewing your albums. Ensure The Fast Tracker's album is enabled for cloud backup storage.
