Throughout the academic meeting, accredited interpreters will provide simultaneous interpretation services from Spanish to Greek and vice versa.
Using the interpretation feature offered by Zoom (see video), the interpreters will provide their own audio channel for the language they are translating to. Attendees can then select the audio channel to hear the translated audio in their language of choice, as well as the option to mute the original audio instead of hearing it at a lower volume in their chosen language.
How to listen to Language Interpretation
Windows | macOS
In your meeting controls, click Interpretation .
Click the language that you would like to hear.
(Optional) To hear the interpreted language only, click Mute Original Audio.
Notes:
If you don't see the Interpretation option, make sure that you have updated your Zoom app to the latest version.
You need to connect to the meeting audio via your computer’s audio/VoIP. You will not be able to hear the language interpretation if you use the phone audio or call-in features.
As a participant connected to a language channel, you can broadcast back to the main audio channel if you unmute yourself and speak.
