What is a Mollcerta Dragon?

The Mollcerta are dragons who are mammal-like in appearance, often having fur instead of scales.

Physical Characteristics

Mollcerta dragons are typically very furry and fluffy dragons. They often have fur covering the majority of their bodies, but do sometimes have a bit of scales or scutes on them in small quantities.

These dragons are usually quadrupedal, standing on all four limbs with a set of wings on their back. Some species are bipedal, able to stand, walk and even run on just their hind legs.

Sexual Reproduction

Mollcerta dragons are viviparous, meaning they give live birth. A healthy female will typically have 2-3 offspring at a time. On rare occasions they may have up to 5.

Dragon mating is seasonally tied to the spring. Once the seasons shift and begin to warm, Females will develop mature ova, and soon become fertile. However there is no behavioral changes in females or males during this time.

Unique Traits

Mollcerta dragons are known for their cold tolerance and are often found in more nothern climates. Mollcerta are also known for often being more stocky, compared to Caecerta dragons.

Diet: Omnivorous, known for eating anything
Habitat: Temperate forests, thrive in mild to cold climates, hate the summer heat.
Power: Can emit a loud high frequency roar that disorients and temporarily deafens opponents. Can also hear in frequencies other dragons cannot, able to detect sounds from miles away.

Native Home: The Arctic Circle

Lifespan: 300 years
Diet: Omnivorous, preference towards fish and seals
Habitat: Frozen tundras
Power: Innate control over ice, can freeze the very water in the air. Competent trackers with a strong sense of smell and hearing.

Volkzrak

Native Home: Moscovia
Lineage: Mollcerta
Lifespan: 350 years
Diet: Omnivorous, preference towards meat
Habitat: Arctic tundra and alpine forests
Power: An incredibly hot, blue fire breath composed of copper chloride

Pennamitis

Native Home: The kingdom of England
Lineage: Mollcerta
Lifespan: 200 years
Diet: Herbivorous, prefers flowers and plants
Habitat: Lush forests and groves
Power: pennamitis have a powerful bite strong enough to crush bone and they house a venom in their fangs that can deliver a hemotoxic venom. Their venom can disrupt the cardiovascular system and blood clotting. The venom destroys red blood cells, causes massive internal bleeding, and trigger tissue degeneration.
