I grew up in a large family with seven siblings. When my mom was not pregnant or breastfeeding, she was talking about the miracle of babies and birth with her friends. As a result, my love for babies and birth started at an early age! In addition to my mom's influence, there have been other people in my life who have made major impacts on my doula path: my husband, sister and sister-in-law, my midwives, doctors and nurses. Each one has made me feel truly loved and respected.
I have four darling children of my own. The first two are singletons. I enjoyed lovely water births for both. And we have a set of twins. We were happily shocked with this news at the 20 week ultrasound! At 32 weeks, my water broke and I delivered baby A naturally and baby B via caesarean. All because of my doulas and care teams, I was able to have four wonderful birth experiences.
My love for birth stories has turned into a desire to play an active role assisting women bringing new life into the world. What a powerful and sacred event! My desire is that my clients would be able to look back on the birth of their child with a smile. I feel a special tug at my heart to help the daddies. Dads, if you feel nervous or unsure about your role, I am here to help you help your lady!
I have received doula training with DONA International at Bastyr University. My intent is to learn from each of you how I might provide tailored support for your individual needs.
Aside from birth stories, I love playing Badminton with my husband on warm summer evenings, laughing with and at my children, sipping on espresso with friends, playing violin, cooking nutritious and delicious food and sometimes I bake treats that are not nutritious at all!
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know me. I look forward to knowing you!

Hi! My excitement about birth started at age 14 when I saw my first birth. That day marked my life and prompted me toward a nursing degree and then work in labor and delivery. I have been serving women as their doula, nurse, or both since 2018 and have loved every moment. Being part of a family's birth story is an honor and privilege - one that I don't take lightly.
I have come to love being on the medical side of the care team as a nurse as well as being able to focus solely on the emotional and physical needs of each family as a doula. Each role is invaluable in providing quality care and I'm thankful that I get to be part of birth in both capacities.
My husband and I have two girls, ages 3 and 1. One a birth center birth turned hospital transfer with epidural and the second an unmedicated waterbirth. I am so thankful for the teams I had caring for me during these deliveries and for how they shaped my own view of my birth experiences through their support.
As a labor and delivery nurse I see two sides of birth - the joy and the sorrow. I am humbled and thankful to serve families who lose precious babies and to be allowed into that space during immediate grieving. One thing I provide is doula care in the event of a loss as well. While this is something I never want my clients to experience, my desire is to give quality, compassionate care in the event of this deeply difficult loss.
I was trained at Bastyr University through their DONA Doula certification program. I also have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University.
