Boarding
The Den provides species-specific, individualized, short-term boarding for pets including: dogs, cats, small mammals, small reptiles, and small birds. During their stay, they will be provided with various options of enrichment and socialization best suited to their needs and wants in addition to their basic care. Pets will stay in a home setting that is adjusted to the species and allows for the expression of the Five Freedoms of animal welfare and sheltering. You will also be provided with an online folder that you can access at any time that includes daily updates, videos, and photos of your pet during their stay.
What you will need:
proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required (including Bordetella) beforehand or acceptable titer test results.
Bed or blankets for the comfort of your pet (optional but highly recommended to help reduce stress)
Enough food for their stay labeled with the brand, feeding schedule, and amount
Favourite toys
Treats if your pet has a sensitive stomach or dietary restrictions
Any medications they are currently on as well as disclosure of any pre-existing health concerns beforehand
Any other items they may need during their stay (enclosures for small animals, water conditioners, substrates, heat lamps). We do have a Critter Nation available if need be.
Cost of boarding:
Dogs: $55/day + $10 per additional dog
Cats: $20/day + $8 per additional cat
Small Mammals: $15/day + $5 per additional animal
Reptiles: $10/day + $5 per additional animal
Holidays are an additional $10/day
We do not take on dogs or cats who are in season.
Stop-In
Stop-In
Stop-ins are designed for those who may be running late or can't get away from work, or for pets that are fine being left on their own for the most part but would benefit from having someone check in on them. These stop-ins are for things like letting your chickens out if you forgot, getting the dog out for a pee, feedings, well-being checks, giving medication on schedule, quick walks or playtime etc.... They are meant to be short and sweet lasting as little as 15min or up to 1hr depending on owner and pet needs. They can be incorporated as a daily part of your pet's schedule if need be!

Day Stays
Day Stays
Day stays are a flexible option for those needing a day away but don't want their pet left unattended. This option is good for owners looking to leave home for the day to go to family events, doctor appointments, shopping trips etc.... but can't leave their pet usually due to separation anxiety, medication schedules, or other concerns. These stays occur in your own home and do NOT run overnight or longer than 10hrs. Please note that day stays are only accepted based on schedule availability.
Day stays are charged hourly:
$20.00/hr
All services are subject to availability.
