Getting Started (1-59)

Here are a few things to know to make Celtic Heroes a better experience for you. It's always tough at the beginning but the end game makes the slog so worth it. This tip page will help you have the best class build start possible for your Celtic Heroes Mage, Ranger, Warrior, etc.

Things to know before you begin...

Regeneration is tough in Celtic Heroes. Health and Energy regeneration only happens OUT OF COMBAT (unless you have an in-combat regeneration item). What this means is that you should only begin fighting the next enemy when you know you're ready to take it on. This game does not encourage back to back to back to back constant fighting.
Your skill and stat build matters INCREDIBLY. Before beginning, consult a guide on what to put your points into for the respective classes. If you end up putting random points into skills and stats, you will have a very hard time killing the enemies you're supposed to be killing, and the game will become less fun for you. Also, alot of the best skills have to be farmed or purchased for a few thousand gold. You'll need to save up for these at some point.

- For warriors: click here for a decent stat build. I recommend maxing Frenzy, Shatter, Pummel, Rupture, and Giant Swing, in that order.

- For druids: click here for a decent guide. I recommend following his DPS one build, DPS druid is significantly easier and quicker to level than solo leveling a support druid.

If your build is WRONG, there is a quest in Dustwither Catacombs that offers a free book of alteration and rebirth, which are items that are used to reset your skill and stat build. I recommend doing this quest and using these books once you figure out the optimal build for you.

Now, here is advice on where to level most efficiently and quickly. This information is taken from Celtic Heroes Forums, a great source of information about Celtic Heroes.

Level 1 – 20

Follow the starting quests that will lead you through Lir’s Reach to Farcrag Castle, Crookback Hollow, Highscore Village, Bandit Camp and into Dustwither Catacombs.

Level 20 – 23

Start killing the enemies in the rooms close to the first room of the Dustwither Catacombs. When you’re around level 25 head further North, which will lead you down a set up stairs into a large room of Skeletons.

Level 25 – 30

Kill enemies in the surrounding areas around the Death’s Caress Leystone, completing the quests when you can.

Level 30 – 45

Head into the new zone of Shalemont Ravine and begin the quests available at MacCroin Encampment. Start by killing enemies to the East of the Camp, making your way round the edge of the lake. When you reach level 35 then start heading over the bridge to the West of the camp, working your way down to the Leystone at Greygorge.

Level 45 – 53

Stay around the Greygorge Leystone and start going over the bridge to the East of the River and moving up to the Shalemont River Leystone just under the castle.

Level 53 – 59

At this level you should be looking to progress into Stonevale. Use the path next to the Greygorge Leystone and work your way along the road until you find the Southern Road Leystone. Up till level 60 stick to killing the Faeries in the small area that is South of the Southern Road Leystone and Stonevale Farm, the village at the centre of the map.
