The Witch and The Dark Forest

One of the most powerful groups in the magical world, The Holy Church oversees the extermination the various evil and blasphemous creatures of the world. While they lack magecraft expertise of the association, they still posses their own set of exceptional supernatural powers. Through great strength and powerful relics they are a force to be reckoned with.

They reside within the Spiritual Tomb of Albion and oversee many expeditions into its depths in order to procure its great wealth and exotic mysteries. Thanks to their great resources and expertise, when it comes to surviving down under the surface they are second to none.

While multiple factions exist for Dead Apostles in this world, for the sake of simplicity you are free to assign yourself to any group or work independently.

A small cult run out of a crack in the ground, its a coven of Dead Apostles which lure in thralls through an enchanting gaze. For centuries mortals have worshipped that strange visage until they too can become holy stars. The only advice that can be given is to tune out the whispers of snakes.

The hollow remains of the Blackmur estate. Once a prestigious family, they have since declined into total oblivion. However, the "servants" they have left behind still continue to work in their absence. Even into hell, duty calls.

While originally an abbey with a goal of raising executors, their extreme withdrawal from the regular world has led to drastic changes in their position within the Church. A hidden, isolated society with their own culture, they a numerous army who exist only to strike down upon the blasphemous and the heretical. At the height of their hierarchy are the Cavalieri d'arme, supreme warriors which stand high above the standard stock of expert killers.

The head of the Tindall family, they hold significant power as a mage of high status. In recent years she has invested significantly more of her finances into excursions within Albion. A sly fox with a sense for profit and power, her presence anywhere is considered the sign of a profitable endeavor. Her current planned expedition marks the rumor of the Witch as one truly worth worrying about.

An Enforcer currently hired to investigate the rumors of a Witch down in the dragons tomb. Due to having some experience dealing with magi who have caught the associations ire in the tomb before, she was a first pick for this mission.   

“Witches are truly strange creatures. For humans to mess with them, only disaster awaits. Even so, we do it regardless."

A lecturer from the zoology department, insects serve as their personal specialty. Despite being just a regular intellectual type he has taken a notable interest in witches and this current rumor.

One of the various Survivors who climbed their away out of Magisfair. Having raked in a large fortune they now run their own casino called The Cat Sith, operating out of the very hell they came from.

A minor magus from India who came to Albion in search of wealth and better opportunities, they've been stuck as basically a slave under the heel of the Zoa. They currently have been hired for an expedition to the Black Forest in which they will serve as a doctor.

One of the four heads of the Zoa, they govern an area within the north west of Magisfair. She works well with finances and other administrative duties, though its said she has own group of subordinates, frightening in their efficiency and cold pragmatism.

“In this world strength is an absolute pillar of survival. Regardless of the shape we must offer power the respect it’s due."

One of the four heads of the Zoa, they govern the Zoa within the south east of Magisfair. In terms of pure firepower, Urizens group remains the strongest amongst the Zoa. Urizen remains most involved with the materials branch of The Secret Autopsy Division. 

“We all live with secrets we want to hide and sins we want to bury. Yet it's only time that can hide things forever."

Within the city he’s a private detective and member of management which utilizes his skills and connections to unearth all hidden things, he's a natural bane to any magi for they all have secrets to keep. Yet it’s within these connections that more sinister works come to be, covering up any loose ends that are unappealing to the Zoa. 

“Everything I do is for the living, and in turn the living is all any of these rituals can reach. True resurrection is a miracle of God alone after all."

A funeral director and mortuary specialist for the city of Magisfair, she makes sure to properly put to rest everyone who dies in the tomb. With so many in Magisfair being concerned over their own potential demise, she's garnered notable influence for someone of relatively lowly position.

A Dead Apostle of rank VI. Once a member of the Botany department of the Clock Tower, they now put their magical talents towards the success of the House of the Enlightened Sun. Currently they run an apothecary and produce special drugs often sought by many freelance magi.

A Dead Apostle of Rank VI, they have become something of a evil spirit which is currently affiliated with The House of the Enlightened Sun. It's said they used to be a necromancer who specialized in mystic codes and sells them at a high price.

The result of a new experiment by the Holy Church, its said to be a special unit worth an army of knights. Its specialty is its ability to fight in hostile and unnatural conditions and has thus been sent on the expedition into Albion to test its abilities.

The Grandmaster who oversees The Order of the North Star. A specialty before this was that of a tailor, a unique role with the group to denote those who weaved the holy garb its members wear granting otherwise normal humans great strength.

One of the Cavalieri d'arme granted control of the Order's current operations in Albion. They are the North Star's "Strongest Esper", wielding their gift from God to decimate even the strongest of foes.
