The trial continues of Eleanor Williams, 21, from Walney in Barrow-in-Furness.
Jonathan Sandiford KC, opening the case for the prosecution, Alleged Eleanor was “A serial liar” continuing to allege she used mobile phones to falsify evidence. Culminating in a story where she stated she was “Groomed by an Asian gang” although both arrests made early on in the case were two White teens.
Prosecutor Jonathan Sandiford (Kings council) continued confirming the Police had arrested two teenagers, the first “allegation” was against Cameron Bibby in October 2017. Eleanor was at a house with two male friends, one being the mentioned Bibby. The jury was told “She had too much to drink & her friends contacted her parents to collect her”.
It was at this moment, when her mother was helping Eleanor to the car that a witness stated she exclaimed the words “Help and rape”.
Her mother, obviously concerned took her to Furness general hospital, where she accepted having taken alcohol and cannabis “but made no suggestion that she had been attacked or even sexually assaulted”.
Several days later, Eleanor screenshot several messages reported to be from Bibby. The account named was “CamBib158”. Showing messages that suggested Eleanor was drugged and raped. Cameron Bibby was arrested, interviewed and released on bail for 6 months before CPS informed him “no further action would be taken”.
In an unrelated Bibby was arrested in January 2018 for carrying a knife and having illegal drugs on his person, he was given a custodial sentence.
Bibby's arrest for knife & drug offences
Now a second man, Jordan Trengove, was 100% falsely accused. And summarily cleared of ALL charges. Miss Williams accused Trengove in March 2019. Following a night out together, Eleanor showed screen grabs to the police of Trengove’s snapchat, alleging she was “off her face” she continued to manipulate these messages to lead Police to believe Trengove had spiked her drink.
Shockingly Jordan Lee Trengove, of Westway in Barrow, said he was ‘scared to leave the house’ after he was charged with three counts of serious sexual assault May 2019.
Mr Trengove was 19 when he was cleared of these charges, after 6 months on remand in actual Prison. Jordon stated “I’ve had the word rapist spray painted on my house, my mum has had a miscarriage due to the stress and I haven’t been allowed to see my little sisters.” That time period while Falsely accused was hard for his whole family, stating he was accosted in the streets and attacked. closing with “I wouldn’t be here today if I was convicted,” said Mr Trengove.
Mr Trengove was only cleared due to incompetence, as the snapchat username “jtrengy7”, which was linked to the abusive messages Eleanor reported. Was created in the Williams household a few days after the alleged attack, on Their home Wi-Fi. Finally clearing the innocent Jordon Trengove after police confirmed the messages were also sent on the Wiliams’s home Wi-Fi, confirming at the least this allegation to be false.
Jordon Trengove cleared of ALL charges
Which, if there is any truth to the other claims will cast great doubt in Miss Williams character for the jury.
The prosecution continued, It was alleged, by Eleanor, that a “Muslim businessman” in her town had groomed her, known by the nickname “Salsa/Zalsa”.
Miss Williams alleged that this man, along with several others had “raped her & sold her in the underground sex trade”. One of the date in question was the 19th May, 2019. This is when all these allegations came to a head and when police established a pattern of lies and deceit.
It was upon this date in May, Williams failed to return home as expected and was reported missing. For two days, Police and family could not get hold of Eleanor.
This is when she was found with horrific injuries to her face, Body and a cut to her finger so bad “the tip was hanging off” according to incident reports. Miss Williams claimed to have been “passed around Barrow” before being “instructed” to travel to Blackpool. Where she claims she was met off Blackpool North train station, by a “White man”. She claims this man and Barrow local businessman “Zalsa” “pimped her around Blackpool”. This was a fiction.
Blackpool transport CCTV capture Eleanor arriving at the station, to be met by no one. Promenade CCTV captured her walking to “The Savoy Hotel” alone where she stayed, also alone. She left briefly to buy “A pot noodle and a chocolate bar” also caught on CCTV.
The booking for the hotel was in her name, where she paid and confirmed her identify upon arrival.
Prosecutor Jonathan Sandiford (KC) confirmed this was not the only instance that could be confirmed deceit.
Upon Eleanor’s 18th Birthday, she went to Amsterdam, with her sister and her sisters boyfriend. When back in the UK, Eleanor stated to police this “Zalsa” person, was there too. She continued that he raped her and “tried to sell her on the black market which only fell trough to the purchaser not having the full 25,000 Euros”. Under oath, her sister confirms this is also untrue, she was with her the entire time.
There was even a third allegation against this “Zalsa” man too. Another clear fiction, It was alleged “An Asian man took Eleanor overseas on a holiday where she was raped and pimped around”. Only when police, Who were becoming suspicious, said they can check the flight logs, that Eleanor back tracked her story.
If i was to offer my opinion, and that all it is. I do believe something happened to this poor girl, something that broke her. Perhaps the actual criminal got away with it, which has left her angry at men even the world. Something is missing in this case, But again several people have been cleared, with the mentioned Trengove, been left “broken and Anxious” and after all, Who wouldn’t be after such a false allegation. Imagine that was your Son, or your husband a accusation like that can have horrendous consequences.
Is there any merit to the claims that were made? Or was this all a lie for attention? One can only imagine the back lash if this is all false, lest we forget there was a crowdfunding for £22,000.
Day 3 of the trial is over but the case continues.
