The Nevada Joint Union High School District Ranch is an 86-acre ranch for hands-on learning, connecting NJUHSD students to real world agriculture Career & Technical Education pathways. After recently obtaining high quality breeding stock from local farms, NJUHSD Ranch is now entering the world of producing show pigs to supply the Nevada County youth with quality projects to show at the county fair.

Meadows Show Pigs is a local Show Pig breeder in Nevada County. Our mission is to ethically raise premium quality Show Pigs, while providing exceptional genetics. We are dedicated to provide personalized support to ensure the success and satisfaction of our 4-H and FFA youth in the show ring. 

MADD Show Pigs was established in 2015 and is a family owned farm located in Southern Nevada County. We strive to raise quality show pigs and offer assistance in proper feeding guidelines for the youth of Nevada County to be successful in the show and to privde a quality market hog.

Gold Starr Show Pigs is a family owned and operated farm located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We started our business with one sow in 2013 and have strived to produce quality, competitive show pigs for the youth of Nevada County since then.

J&A Livestock Co. is a first generation local family owned and operated farm here in Nevada County. What was supposed to start off small and grow through the years has exploded into a passion that will support our junior livestock exhibitors and agricultural entrepreneurs of our future. Our mission is to produce high quality show pigs that will set a solid foundation for young exhibitors in either market or breeding classes. We strive to help our local youth succeed through offering guidance with nutrition and care. For our 2025 litters we have bred quality sows to proven top  producing boars from Ottenwalter Showpigs, No Limit Genetics, and GnG Genetics.

Vieira Ranch was established in 2023 and Located in Grass Valley, CA. Our son was in 4H and was introduced to market goats by a family friend. He was hooked instantly and from that day on he wanted more than to just show the goats. He wanted to breed does and show their offspring. This is where we are today. After several years of breeding we are excited to see our stock in the local county fair where they have placed top of the class and continue to make it back to the final drive. The 2023 Nevada County Fair 4H Champion Market Goat was bred by Vieira Ranch and we are excited to continue to offer quality stock to 4H,FFA and independent youth for years to come. 

Whitman Ranch Boer Goats is family owned and operated by Kyle and Kattie Whitman along with their kids Kayla, Austin and Emily and was established in 2017.  What started as a couple goats to show at the county fair turned into breeding and raising high quality show goats and 4H and FFA market wethers. We strive to produce quality animals and enjoy helping with the youth with their 4-H and FFA market projects.

Checkerboard Farm Boer Goats has been raising and breeding quality goats for 18 years.  We keep up with the best genetics in our goats so we can offer competitive animals to our community.  The Nevada County Fair Overall Grand Champion and Reserve Champion market goats were sired by our bucks the past two years.  We support our FFA and 4-H programs and kids.  We love to see the kids succeed with their projects and in the show ring.

For the past 9 years, SM show stock has been passionately breeding high-quality Boer goats, driven by a commitment to excellence and a love for the livestock show world. My journey began 9 years ago, when I became deeply involved in the livestock show circuit, and I quickly realized the importance of breeding goats that excel in show quality, genetics, and overall performance. My goal is to produce exceptional Boer goats that meet the highest standards, providing FFA and 4-H youth with the best possible animals to showcase their skills and passion. I take pride in offering goats that embody the ideal characteristics of the breed, with a focus on:

A new up and coming club lamb operation that is driven by the passionate heart of a 14 year old! Ising Club Lambs strives to breed and provide top quality club lambs to youth exhibitors for both jackpots style shows and the local county fair.
