We started off simple in 2012: building a haunted house in our basement to make our annual Halloween party just that much cooler. When we had friends spend more time going through the haunted house and enjoying it more than the party itself, we thought we just might be on to something! Many years and many floor plans later, we are still excited to create this experience for our community each year. We start building the structure in our carport each year around Labor Day weekend and we love getting interested looks and questions from friends and neighbors as we work away on it, so if you see us out toiling away stop by and say hello! In 2019 we were even interviewed by the Marietta Daily Journal.
When we opened up the haunted house to the general public, we had no idea it would end up being so popular. We were afraid neighbors would report us, or complain about the lights and sounds, but it has become a neighborhood tradition! We ask for a small donation as an entry fee to the haunted house, and half of the proceeds raised go to charity.
