Regarding the future of humanity: Imagine our world as one body with the internet as its mind, and each of us with a mobile phone has become like a single cell connected to a flock of seven billion others. Eventually, if the algorithms of an artificial intelligence are allowed to be our shepherd, and unless we have managed to seat, maintain and promote humanity (our species and its virtues) at the heart of the internet, then something else will be sitting in our place - and it will imagine nothing in the universe greater than itself.
