The bookkeeping software I use is QuickBooks Online. This software is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. You will give me access to your QuickBooks Online account, and your bank will be directly connected to QBO, so the bank feed will automatically add your transactions. I will be helping you categorize those transactions into the correct accounts, pay your bills, clean everything up, and run reports at the end of the month (depending on your service package).
We will meet once per month virtually, or with a recorded meeting, to go over your reports. I want to make sure you completely understand everything!
I work with service-based businesses across the US, including medical billers, chiropractors, creative entrepreneurs, photographers, event coordinators, videographers, consultants, designers, etc. I work primarily in QuickBooks Online, and I am certified as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

If everything goes well in our discussion, I will prepare a proposal, outlining exactly what you can expect for your cleanup or monthly bookkeeping services.
When you approve the proposal, I will send you an engagement letter with more details, and an ACH/Credit card form for automatic payments.
You will sign and return the forms, make your first payment, and we will start the onboarding process!
I respond to all emails and phone calls within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
No, I do not provide tax preparation services. It's better if you have different people doing your bookkeeping and taxes, for checks and balances, to make sure everything is correct. I will work with your CPA to ensure they have everything they need to file your taxes quickly and easily. If you don't have a CPA, I am part of an extensive network of bookkeepers and accountants, I can help you find a tax specialist in your area.
Communication will be very important in our relationship! You will need to provide me with documents that are not coming directly through the bank feed to your QBO - like bank, loan and credit card statements. The documents you provide will be stored online in a private document sharing account for both of us to access. You will also scan some of your receipts with your phone or computer to our document sharing account, so I can categorize those transactions. Then you keep those physical receipts where you can find them easily.
When you sign your engagement letter, you will sign a form for monthly ACH payments from your bank account, or automatic credit card payments. There will be a retainer fee for the first month's payment before I start work. Monthly payments will be automatically deducted after you receive your invoice, so you don't have to worry about it!
