Hi, I'm Karissa!
I am the owner of The Bookkeeping Path and the virtual bookkeeper for your service-based business!
Bookkeeping has been a big part of my story. I married my high school sweetheart, Ray, 20 years ago, finished my BA at California State University Fullerton, and then started bookkeeping in a commercial real estate office.
We had our first son about a year later, and I began freelancing with an EA/CPA. A couple of years later, I started bookkeeping for a medical billing company after our second son arrived. And a couple of years after that our baby girl arrived.
Twelve years later - the kids are getting older and more independent, and I still work with the medical billing company I started with. I have continued to pursue bookkeeping classes and certifications, booked additional clients, and love connecting with new people and small businesses! Ray and I are enjoying life - going on date nights whenever possible, and making each other laugh every day!
On our down time we like to walk our two little chiweenie dogs, watch movies on Friday nights, bake cakes and cookies, and play lots and lots of boardgames! I strive to teach my kids to love God and love learning, to make time for family, and to reach for their goals every day.
