It all started with the founder of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, or more commonly known as NASA. He was an American Politician and ex-service man called Dwight David Einsenhower. Eisenhower’s parents were from Karisbrunn, Germany. They migrated to the United States of America where they had Dwight and three other children. Dwight was born on the 14th October, 1890 in Denison, Texas. His family later moved to Abilene, Kansas.
Einsenhower studied at the United States Military Academy and during World War II he served as a supreme commander of the Allied Expeditionary Course. After WWII Eisenhower got married and had two sons, John and Doud. He later became the 34th president of the United States, his presidency lasted for nine years (from the years 1953-1961). During his presidency Eisenhower was in the process of creating NASA. NASA was made officially on the 1st of October however the paper establishing NASA as space organization was signed on the 29th of July in 1958. Almost ten years later in March 1969, Dwight passed away at the age of 78.
