Hello friends and all who stumble across this quaint little space ive decided to take up in this vast internet world!

I am Mel , 20, resident poetry writer and I welcome you. I started writing poetry at about 17 when I needed an outlet for all I was holding but couldn't carry anymore. A very special friend pushed me forward by providing me prompts and just asking me to simply write. (thanks C!) At first all that i wrote was sad & desolate and truth be told, I felt i could only write if I was sitting at the bottom of the cave that is rock bottom. Slowly but surely, however, I am learning to redefine the words to hold my multitudes: the sad, happy, angry, and every other twisted emotion and experience that lines my path. I hope you can go forward with me and learn to bloom with all the boundless eternity that you also hold.

Without wasting any more of these letters that have given me so much, I invite you to go forth and enter into the words I call my heart that make living a beautiful, empty splendor.
