I’m Mike T. Whitman, an author, songwriter, guitarist, and the creator of The Bloody Path Home.

Before turning seriously toward creative work, I served for twenty-two years in the United States Air Force. That experience shaped how I think about duty, authority, belief, and the institutions people trust to protect them. Those questions now surface throughout my stories and music, often in places where the difference between salvation and control is not as clear as it first appears.

The Bloody Path Home began as my first published novel. Since then, it has grown into something much larger: a connected body of gothic horror, dark fantasy, mythology, historical memory, and dystopian fiction told through books, original music, and cinematic videos.

I write the stories and lyrics, develop the characters and worlds, and shape each visual narrative from beginning to end. Much of the newer music begins with guitar riffs I compose and record myself, building the songs around the mood and movement of the story. The tools may change from one project to another, but the purpose remains the same: to create something with a voice, a point of view, and a reason to exist.

As the project has grown, I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with other artists and musicians. Carolina Padrón brought her voice to “The Shadow’s Embrace” and “Static Prayers,” while Martina Qüesta joined me for “From Dust I Remain.” I remain open to collaboration whenever the right artist, song, and opportunity come together.

I live in North Carolina with my wife and am the father of two sons. Away from the desk and guitar, my life has always centered on family, the outdoors, and whatever new experience waits beyond the familiar.

The Bloody Path Home isn’t a place. It’s a descent through myth, memory, and the things history tried to bury. Some stories are warnings. Some are confessions. Some are still unfolding.
